CURRENT FROM 11:59pm 16 SEPTEMBER FOR: Regional Victoria

COVID Safe principles

  • Wear a mask or face covering
  • Don't go to work if you feel sick or unwell
  • Physical distancing (1.5 metres)
  • Cough and sneeze into tissue or elbow
  • Good hand hygiene
  • Outdoor activities
  • The 'Four Reasons to Leave Home' restrictions will be lifted
  • Public gatherings: up to 10 people can meet outdoors for social interaction (infants under 12 months of age are not included in the cap) 
  • Visitors to the home: up to 5 visitors will be allowed in the home from a nominated household. 
  • Schools will be a staggered start over the first couple of weeks of Term 4 (which will be communicated to you through your school Principal)
  • Childcare is open to all children
  • Outdoor exercise and recreation allowed
  • Playgrounds re-opened with social distancing and good hygiene practices where possible
  • Restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues open subject to density restrictions and some further requirements.
  • Retail: open, with density and other restrictions, including hairdressing, beauty therapy, tattooing, where a mask can be work
  • Outdoor auctions will be permitted with a maximum of 10 participants.
  • Weddings - increased to 10 people in attendance
  • Funerals - increased to 20 mourners
  • Community sport will return for children
  • Non-contact sport will be permitted for adults
  • Religious gatherings can be held with up to 10 people outdoors, plus one faith leader.
  • Tourist accommodation open for regional Victorians in regional Victoria (subject to a COVID-safe plan being enforced from September 28th)
