Volunteer Opportunities

On Air Presentation

You could have a particular interest in music to share perhaps a topic or theme that would interest listeners, become a member and learn how to present your own radio program.

Administration

If you’ve got great secretarial skills to offer help out behind the scenes with writing and acquitting grant applications, receiving and replying to correspondence or many other opportunities. Or perhaps you have great book keeping skills and could assist in the role as the station Treasurer.

Fundraising

Money doesn’t grow on trees but it is essential for running a community radio station. OCR FM are always looking for innovative and engaging ways to raise awareness and funds for the station.

Community Liaison

There’s heaps of opportunities for community groups, sporting clubs and businesses to get involved with OCR FM, but sometimes they don’t know that yet. As a community liaison volunteer you can help spread the word by coordinating interviews with local community organisations or recording promotional announcements.

Technology

As a volunteer run organisation not everyone is as tech savvy with computer or website maintenance as others. Or perhaps you have a knack for wiring studio broadcasting systems. OCR FM are always keen to welcome volunteers with an interest in assisting with maintaining the vast amount of technology required to broadcast.

Membership

The membership coordinator keeps our members details up to date, informs members of what’s happening at OCR FM and assists to spread the important message of becoming a member to show your support for the station.

Music Librarian

OCR FM receives lots of new music each week. The music librarian helps to catalogue physical albums and ensure that digital tunes are filed correctly for airplay
